100 Word Challenge Term 4 Week 3

The bell rang loudly and Fred sat down calmly as his teacher, Mr Bi, strolled into the classroom. He
stank strongly of onions and garlic. Suddenly, Fred had an urge to go to the bathroom. During the
lesson, he could resist it no longer, so he put up his quivering hand and asked, “Sir, may I please go
to the bathroom?”

Mr Bi’s crimson face turned around at once. “Why didn’t you go during morning tea break?”, he
exclaimed, “You’ll just have to wait.”

“Sir”, he begged, “Why must I wait?”

The teacher’s instant reply was, “Because I said so…”

100 Word Challenge (Term 2 Week 8)

It was a dull and rainy day. Inky Clouds concealed the sky. Suddenly, the sound of a gunshot rings inside the hotel. Screams erupted from the children, and people rushed outside to safety. This event seemed to darken the day even more. The funeral for the wealthy hotel owner was held 3 days later. Hundreds attended, startled by the offender who showed neither remorse nor regret. The day seemed even duller than the incident days before.

52 years later, an architect designed a sculpture of a knotted gun, in memory of his grandfather who was shot at the Portal Hotel.

100 Word Challenge (Week 7)

It was a hot afternoon, and my family and I arrived at Disney World, Florida. As dad was busy studying the map, Sam, my younger brother, spotted the teacup ride - the ride that he had desired the to ride the most. Reluctantly, mum agreed and she escorted us to the ride. We relaxed in the spinning teacup while music played in the background. Then, as the music got faster, so did the spinning of the teacups. The teacups spun so fast they flew off the platform like flying saucers and landed violently on the nearby grass. Then I fainted.

100 Word Challenge (Week 6)

I turned on the television. It was the news, and the new american president was getting announced. The news reporter was going on and on about how the voting system worked. But after what felt like eternity, he said it… Donald Trump. I could almost hear the world’s surprised emotions. As I turned on my laptop to check the statistics, a peculiar thought came to me. Trump was president, but what if I was in charge? What if I got to have the immense amount of power? Then the battery of my laptop ran out and the screen went black.

100 Word Challenge (Week 3)

It was a fine day. The sun had begun to set and it had cast a dark shadow on the surface of the sea.
We drove silently for an hour and a half. We were lost in the middle of nowhere. I sat uncomfortably in the back of the car. The journey continued, Dad cursing under his breath and Mum trying to read the map in darkness. We were moving very fast when the car suddenly stopped and shook violently. I now realised what was happening. We were driving on a living island. The shaking stopped, then everything went black.
