100 Word Challenge (Week 6)

I turned on the television. It was the news, and the new american president was getting announced. The news reporter was going on and on about how the voting system worked. But after what felt like eternity, he said it… Donald Trump. I could almost hear the world’s surprised emotions. As I turned on my laptop to check the statistics, a peculiar thought came to me. Trump was president, but what if I was in charge? What if I got to have the immense amount of power? Then the battery of my laptop ran out and the screen went black.

The things I have auditioned for - 2018

This year, 2018, I have auditioned for many things including cultural groups and monitor jobs. The music groups that I got into are: Southwell All Hallows Chapel Boy's Choir, String Group, Southwell School Symphony Orchestra, and the Chamber Ensemble.

The Monitor/Service Roles I got accepted: Chapel Party, String Group Monitor.

Because of these activities, this means that I am occupied most lunchtimes and mornings.

100 Word Challenge (Week 3)

It was a fine day. The sun had begun to set and it had cast a dark shadow on the surface of the sea.
We drove silently for an hour and a half. We were lost in the middle of nowhere. I sat uncomfortably in the back of the car. The journey continued, Dad cursing under his breath and Mum trying to read the map in darkness. We were moving very fast when the car suddenly stopped and shook violently. I now realised what was happening. We were driving on a living island. The shaking stopped, then everything went black.

Recently at school we did speeches. I did my speech about fast food - some history, benefits, and disadvantages of fast food. After performing the speech, I have reflected on my performance. I think I did quite well although I could of done better. I realised that I spoke a little quickly, and that I could of learnt my speech a little better as I needed to use my cue cards occasionally. I found that I could of also expressed my voice better. Overall, I think I did OK.

Today in science we all learnt how to make a digestive system out of plasticine with Mr Velzian. Before we made the finished plasticine model, we drew the human digestive system. Here is what my plasticine model looked like:
